Vista desktop with a 19" screen. Got it over a year ago and it's still real fast

I have a Dell desktop running Vista. Desperately want a MacBook...having a desktop is really inconvenient. -.-

Re: What type of computer?
I have a laptop with Vista. Pretty good, only the finger-sensing swish motion of the mouse pisses me off and thinks for itself, it goes back a page when I don't want it to and does nothing when I want it to do something.
We also have an old laptop with XP, slower than 8AM traffic on a weekday. By comparison,This laptop takes about 1:10 to boot and a further 8 seconds to load after signing in, whereas the other one takes roughly 3 minutes to boot with another 2:40 to load. >_>

Re: What type of computer?
I had XP from the time our Windows 98 died until March of '09 when I got this one. I used IE and my computer loaded everything SLOWLY. I was introduced to Firefox when we got this one and I love it.

Vista isnt THAT good. Ive used it for 8 years at school and 3 years at home. Its actually pretty bad to me to be honest. Now Windows 7 is good. But not Vista.

Re: What type of computer?
Vista annoys the shit out of me - freezes all the time on every computer running the OS that I've ever used. Windows 7 is pretty nice; not all that different, but it runs a lot smoother. And the interface/graphics are a whole lot better than Windows usually has.

You mean your mousepad spazzes too? I'll just be moving it a little and it'll fly all over my screen, close the window, open 7 more and then I just go WTFBOOM all over my laptop.
